Fasting Requirements for Laboratory Testing
Some medical laboratory tests or specimen collections require that you fast (nothing to eat or drink except water) for a period of time prior to the test.
The NDSU Student Health Service Laboratory requires the following:
- 12 hour fast prior to Lipid Profile and Triglycerides testing
- 8 hour fast for Fasting Glucose testing

The NDSU Health Service Laboratory is a CLIA certified laboratory staffed by licensed laboratory professionals.

Pharmacy Hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (closed from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m)
